This month we celebrate Pisces

i Pisceans of Interest and Astrological Musings… i

Question: What do healer Donna Eden and chess champion Bobby Fischer have in common?

Answer: Born just nine days apart, a lot more than you might think.

Yet why is Donna so kind and Bobby so raucous and even venomous? His amplified Mars-Pluto number one. Her Moon in Sag; his in rough-and-ready Taurus. Her softened Venus opposite Neptune but his amplified Venus in Aries at the top of the chart – the World conqueror. One using Pisces power properly and to the fullest and the other to the foolest. Uranus will go over Mr. Fischer’s Sun on May 25th of this year. I wonder what tricks he’ll be up to then, but meanwhile, I betcha I can beat Donna in chess…

In the East, as the moon rises at 6:09pm, the eclipse will already be under way. The greatest effect will occur at 6:21pm.

It will T-square and send its powerful energy to benevolent Jupiter and should bring about a lot of good things:

Aries (Mar 21-Apr 19) – Blessings come to you as you travel. Go somewhere that will inspire you. Be that Aries pioneer. Blaze a new shining trail. If everyone else wants to stay at home, tell them they can check out your adventure pictures later on your personal blog.

Taurus (Apr 20-May 20) – Things really start to work out with you and your partner(s). Be enthusiastic now about joining forces with others. Cast caution to the wind and share a glass or two of something expensive.

Gemini (May 21-Jun 21) – Relationships are in the offing now. Your independent spirit may draw someone to you who won’t tie you down – metaphorically speaking. Make sure your comrade can give you the space you need and has a variety of interests.

Cancer (Jun 22-Jul 22) – What a great time it is for you now to heal physically. This is the perfect time for you to follow-up and stop putting off seeing the doctor. Also, tis a great time to adopt a new largely vegetarian diet. The body is happy.

Leo (Jul 23-Aug 22) –You finally have some elbow-room and can enjoy the family with some time to spare. The time is at hand to show the family how big you can think – and pull it off! Vacation time!

Go somewhere that makes you dream.

Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22) – Happy home life is the key phrase here. Your hard work pays off now. Time to relax and enjoy loved-ones. Virgo seldom takes the time to relax. Enjoy your fruits, and tip a few while you’re at it.

Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22) – What a great time it is now for you to spend a few thousand dollars at Borders. Mentally, you’re on fire now. You can’t take it in fast enough – you’re in your element. And that is AIR, thinking, mind, discussion, debate.

Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 21) – You’re just flat out feeling good about yourself. Being more open in your self-expression is paying off. Ride this wave of well-being throughout the summer. Things don’t always have to be intense.

Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21) – Continue to enjoy Jupiter roosting in its home sign. Nothing can stop you now, especially since you have overcome inner obstacles and given yourself the go-ahead. Buy a bow and an arrow and go far from the city.

Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan 19) – Everybody thinks you’re dry, huh? Little do they know what really ticks inside that Goat-heart. You have a wellspring of inspiration now. Fool them once again – color outside the lines and see if they catch you.

Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18) – Man oh man, quit thinking that the cash just isn’t here for you to do what you need to do. When did you ever need cash? Your imagination and sense of adventure is the ticket.

Make your own way, as usual!

Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20) Glub glub, the Fish in the tub… What are we going to do with you wistful, 60’s children? You build castles in the sky. Think of the possibilities. Go ahead and have a party in one of your castles now. By the poolside. Come to think of it, how’d you get two fish instead of one?

3/17 Venus Enters Taurus 6:01pm – A very pleasant state of affairs for a few days. Enjoy. Restaurants are full. Eat, drink, and be merry. Buy a REGULAR hammock in hopes of Spring. By God, Tauruses know how to enjoy life… follow suit!

That reminds me, what are the proper plurals of the signs? And, for that matter, what of using the signs as adjectives?

That’s one reason I like astrology so much, it’s such a vague, unregulated science/art that I get to make up stuff:

(Two itemizations per Sun-sign, how’s that “P”?!)

Aries (Mar 21-Apr 19) – You need to make sure you’re being heard and respected for your beliefs. Your way is your way and others may not agree, but you have to stick to your guns now and don’t let other docile souls diminish your goals and accomplishments.

Taurus (Apr 20-May 20) – Most souls just don’t value things the way you do. Don’t argue the point either. Your legacy to all is what you feel, not what you should feel. Hang with those who have similar value systems. We’re all so different; you need comfort and a good alliance or two. Period.

Gemini (May 21-Jun 21) – I know patience is not your virtue. Yet, it is required now, lest you settle. Finding your soul-mate is hard at best, but you must keep on keepin-on. Use your lightheartedness to keep you from pining too much.

Cancer (Jun 22-Jul 22) – Responsibility is the focus now. Pluto is not going to let you off of the hook. Family is family, but you’re an individual first. Pluto demands that you follow your passions. Others will have to deal with it – don’t ever shy away from following your intuition which is extremely strong, even if you are afraid.

Leo (Jul 23-Aug 22) – I guess you could roar so loud that sensitive jungle residents will just have to get some earplugs, huh? You can’t be stopped anymore… perhaps others prefer smoke signals or E-mails, but you need to express yourself now! Bring passion to your domain. Those who can hang with it will be entertained.

Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22) – I know this hasn’t been an easy time, but those dang emotions need reworking. And they can’t be fixed like resurfacing a tabletop either. You need to dig deep and accept what you feel, not what you think an able-bodied soul should feel. Take ownership of your moods, they’re not weaknesses.

Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22) – Either your Mercury is in Virgo, Libra, or Scorpio. And all three placements mean you’re smart. Take your rightful position as leader of the intellectual pack. Sometimes you check your sounding board too much. Have faith in your ideas, you’ve already reassessed them a thousand times.

Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 21) – No one has to tell you to buckle down. Now, what you really need is a fortress and to sink your roots deeply. You really need to bolster your finances and your physical base of operations. Money is power and your passions require significant funding. Go to: www.richbanker.match.com

Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21) – When an astrological event happens in one’s own sign it’s often hard to describe. You have simply been becoming more Scorpionic for the past twelve years. It’s almost over. Meanwhile continue to dig deep and mean something in this world. Time for fun is just around the corner.

Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan 19) – You’ve paid your dues. Clear the final debris from your stage because Pluto’s ingress into Capricorn in January will bring you your power. I know you had no idea as to just how much trash had to go out to the dumpster, but you’re really going to feel much lighter when it’s over.

Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18) – You have traveled a very long road. The sense is that you are tired. It’s time to shed many of your responsibilities and prepare for more peaceful pastures. Most don’t understand you and have you totally misconstrued. You’re used to it. You paved your own road so far, now you reap your rewards.

Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20) – Finally, all of times you’ve had to put up with going to work… Now, you can start to see the harvest. You are truly a giving soul. The world will now start to recognize your efforts. Of course, that’s not what you sought, but you will now start to be able to realize your dreams. Be alert to possibility.

-Carl Jung believed in astrology's descriptive powers regarding the mind without necessarily subscribing to its predictive claims.

-In Shakespeare's 37 plays there are more than one hundred allusions to astrology.

-Emerson said, "Astrology is astronomy brought to earth and applied to the affairs of men."

-Walt Whitman, a Gemini, once said: "Contradict myself, of course I do. I contain multitudes."

-Einstein said, "Astrology is a science in itself and contains an illuminating body of knowledge.”

-Ben Franklin: "Astrology is the oldest science, respected in the past by the Great and the Wise."

-Hippocrates: "A medic without the knowledge of astrology has no right to call himself that."

-Ptolemy said, "It is obvious that everything that happens in nature has it's cause in the events in the sky."

-Pythagoras was quoted, "The stars in the sky play the music - if only we had ears to hear it."

Next month we ask Kid Astro: “Why are twins often so different from each other?”

Void-of-Course Moons are periods every few days anywhere from a few minutes to several hours where you are discouraged from launching projects.
